RAISE MONEY, RECYCLE AND BENEFIT YOUR ENVIROnMENT
Frequently Asked Questions
What items are you hoping to receive?
We are asking for any unwanted jewellery. We recycle Gold, Silver and Costume Jewellery. So all those odd earrings, broken chains and watches are a great start. All these unwanted items will be turned into a donation for you.
How do schools organise the Art Pencil Set Prize draw?
On the collecting envelope that you distribute, there is a large box which clearly says insert your child’s name for an opportunity to win an Art Pencil Set. At the end of the week, put all the returned envelopes in the container we send you and pick out one envelope, the name on that envelope wins the Art Pencil Set.
How is it recycled?
All items are carefully examined. High value items are sold separately, odd items are melted down and precious metals, costume jewellery and watches are sold through a varied network including: auction houses, market traders, and shops. Everything you send is turned into cash for us and put to good use.
The following is an example of a Primary School booking week in 2010:
Wednesday 24th February 2010 - We will drop off jewellery recycling kit at school.
Thursday 25th or Friday 26th February - School distributes envelopes through pupil post.
Friday 5th March - Envelopes returned, school holds Art Pencil Set prize draw.
Wednesday 10th March - We will pick up donated/unwanted jewellery from school.
