Information for Groups
Jewellery Recycling really is a very easy way for you to raise money, whilst encouraging social responsibility to your members through recycling and supporting the environment.
1st Waltham Brownies - September 2009
“When I first came across your leaflet - it sounded to good to be true (I wouldn't need to do anything)! Very easy to do, a great fundraiser with little effort.
Thank you for helping us boost our funds, such a great result! I will definitely contact you again.”
How Does It Work For Groups?
You simply contact jewelleryrecycling.org to register with us, or book online.
We will then send you:
· A poster and recycling information to display.
· An Art Pencil Set to raffle.
· Freepost envelopes & prize draw slips.
You simply distribute the freepost envelopes, which will have the prize draw slips attached.
Allow two weeks for your members to post their envelopes and return the prize draw slip's back to you.
Then simply put all the returned prize draw slips in a hat and the first one pulled out wins the prize.
Your parents/members can donate any unwanted jewellery, gold, silver, odd earrings, broken chains, watches, costume jewellery etc.
Within eight weeks after receiving their donated jewellery, we will send you a cheque dependent on the total value of the collected items.
TOP TIP FOR A REALLY SUCCESSFUL EVENT!
If your members offer their families, friends and work colleagues a chance to join in and clear out their unwanted jewellery your results will improve.
Why Recycle?
Recycling reduces the demand for raw materials. This means less mining or quarrying. Many parts of the world have been blighted by mining and quarrying, which destroy the natural environment and wildlife habitats and can cause environmental and health problems for local people. Recycling is one way in which we can lessen our usage of resources and help protect the environment.
